Wes Pool has built a reputation over the years as a quality builder who
cares about the customer. This concern is communicated in a variety of ways,
from inspection of each foundation before it is poured to daily visits to
each jobsite to ensure that subcontractor work continues to provide
the finest in craftsmanship throughout each stage of the construction
process. One of the intangible rewards of building quality custom homes is
the satisfaction that you've created something that truly makes someone
happy and fulfills their dream. "We realize the customer is making perhaps
the greatest investment of his life," Wes said. Wesley J. Pool was born in
1950 and grew up in Dallas, Texas. While his father, U.S. Congressman Joe
Pool, was serving in Washington in the 1960s, the Pool family lived in
suburban Virginia. Wes later attended Southern Methodist University and
graduated with a B.A. in 1972. He has three children -- Rebecca, Ellen, and
Phillip -- and makes his home in Cedar Hill. The Pool family has been an
initiator and promoter of southern Dallas County and Tarrant County projects
for more than 40 years, beginning with Wes Pool's father, Joe, and his
desire for a flood control lake. Bearing the name of its originator, Joe
Pool Lake now serves area residents and tourists.
After his college graduation, Wes went to work
as a commercial real estate broker for Henry S. Miller Co., primarily
leasing and selling commercial and industrial projects across the DFW
Metroplex. However, as a side enterprise, Wes became
involved in large-scale remodeling projects on upper-end luxury home and mansions in the exclusive Highland Park area,
and in the end, this work on elegant custom homes was the catalyst that led
him into the custom home building field. Wes has also developed several Metroplex
industrial and commercial retail projects, but his primary focus is the
award winning custom home building his company
is known for.
Wes has been a Registered Professional Builder and a longtime member of the
Home and Apartment Builders of Metropolitan Dallas. He has been a licensed real
estate broker in the state of Texas since 1974. Besides professional
commitments, Wes enjoys community involvement and has served on Cedar Hill's
Building Appeals and Advisory Board, Cedar Hill's Planning and Zoning
Commission, and also has served on the board of
directors for the Children's Enrichment Program of the First United Methodist
Church in Cedar Hill.
